IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE IN BANGLADESH OVER LAST 30 YEARS

A SURVEY BASED ON VISUAL ART

Abstract

Climate change is a major concern in Bangladesh, where the impacts are being felt in various ways. Bangladesh has seen a 1.3 degree Celsius rise in average temperatures over the past 30 years, leading to increased frequency and intensity of extreme weather events such as flooding, drought, cyclones, and rising sea levels. This warming has caused significant environmental, economic, and social damage, including displacement of millions of people. Visual artists can play an important role by spreading awareness in people about climate change by their art works because Visual art has the power to influence people very easily. There has been a lot of research on climate change in Bangladesh in the past but none based on visual art - which makes this research stand out from the rest. Based on visual art, this study will focus on analyzing the effects and impacts of climate change on Bangladesh over the last 30 years.
