Hegemonic masculinity is dignified in our patriarchal society even though there are multiple sets of masculinities, which eventually conceal and ignore lived masculinities. While certain structures continue to reinforce the privileging of men, they simultaneously intensify the vulnerability of victimized men and destabilize the traditional ideal of hegemonic masculinity. In this context, patriarchal systems tend to overlook the vulnerabilities of these men, offering little recognition or support. At the same time, such systems can further marginalize immigrant men, increasing precariousness, deepening their exposure to social and economic insecurity by stigmatizing them.
