About the Journal
The Journal of Journalism and Media Studies, a double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal, is published annually by the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. We welcome research-oriented papers on media, journalism, communication, photo essays, and critical reviews of films and recently published books. Articles recommended by two anonymous reviewers are generally accepted for publication.

Welcome to the Special Issue of the Journal of Journalism and Media, featuring selected papers from the "National Conference 2023: Journalism, Media and Communication," held on October 3-4, 2023, at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Jointly organized by the Department of Journalism and Media Studies and MRDI with support from Fojo Media Institute, Sweden, the conference addressed critical issues and innovations in the field. We are pleased to present eight significant contributions in this issue. We extend our gratitude to all contributors for their exceptional research and to our reviewers for their invaluable feedback. We hope this issue inspires further scholarly discourse and enriches the field of journalism, media, and communication studies.
